Team from Irkutsk won at preliminaries of national open culinary championship “Chef a la Russe 2020” in Saint-Petersburg.
An installment of preliminaries of national open culinary championship “Chef a la Russe 2020” organized by METRO C&C, National association of Russian culinary experts and Saint-Petersburg association of culinary experts under the sponsorship of Wordchefs took place in the gastronomic festival Megustro from 5th to 7th of November 2019.
This year 21 teams of professionals took part in the contest including 14 team from Saint-Petersburg and 7 teams from other Russian cities: Moscow, Kaliningrad, Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Republic of Crimea and Moscow region. Five (5) teams of junior students of Saint-Petersburg special colleges took part in the contest as well.
As a result a team from Irkutsk won. The team will took part in the finals of national open culinary championship “Chef a la Russe 2020” at METROEXPO in March, 2020. Restaurant BBO team (2nd place in nomination “Professionals”) and a team of Polytechnic University of Peter the Great (3rd place in the nomination “Professionals”) will be capped for Saint-Petersburg at the finals.
